The Forces Behind the Facade: Building AQUA @ Westshore

AIA LU/HSW CEU | CSI Tampa Bay Annual Topgolf Event

Some buildings look effortless from the outside… but behind the façade is a fascinating story of engineering, coordination, and problem-solving.

Join CSI Tampa Bay for an inside look at AQUA at Westshore Yacht Club, a striking waterfront tower located near the end of Gandy Boulevard with sweeping views toward Tampa Bay and the St. Pete beaches. This project sits in a location where wind, water, and soil conditions demand thoughtful design and collaboration across the entire project team.

During this AIA LU/HSW accredited presentation, we’ll explore how the team tackled real-world challenges—from wind tunnel testing and deep foundation systems to waterproofing elevated amenity decks and rooftop pools. We’ll also touch on key life-safety elements, including fire service access, elevator lobby protection, and egress components required to secure the building’s Certificate of Occupancy.
